The Kurutie Amafinide Uge Festival 2024, one of the most anticipated cultural celebrations in Gbaramatu kingdom, Delta state, is set to take place from December 26 to December 27, 2024. The festival will kick off on December 26 with a series of exciting games and competitions, providing a platform for individuals to showcase their talents and engage in friendly rivalry.
The celebrations will continue on December 27, starting from 6 AM to 6 PM, with a captivating cultural display that will highlight the diverse traditions of the community.
The day’s activities will feature the following enthralling displays:
Ogele Display – A traditional dance showcasing the community’s unique customs and rhythm.
Masquerade Display – A thrilling performance featuring the revered masquerades, symbolizing the spiritual and cultural strength of the community.
Egene Sel Display – A vibrant representation of the community’s dance and cultural expressions.
Igusei Display – A captivating performance that adds to the rich tapestry of Kurutie traditions.
The festivities will culminate at 6pm, with live music performances that will last till dawn, provided by the renowned Alfred Izon Ebi, promising an unforgettable musical experience to celebrate the community’s unity and culture.
