The Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC)-organized Amaseikumor Festival Football Tournament hit its peak on Match Day 2, featuring thrilling matches that displayed the talent and competitiveness of the teams. With both Group A and Group B fixtures in focus, fans experienced a day packed with drama, skill, and fierce rivalries.
Group A Matches:
In the Group A fixtures, Ogbe-Ijoh FC faced off against Oporoza FC in a tightly contested encounter. Despite Oporoza’s valiant efforts, Ogbe-Ijoh emerged victorious with a solitary goal, securing all three points and solidifying their position at the top of the group.
The match between Ogulagha FC and Egbema FC ended in a goalless draw, highlighting the defensive prowess of both teams. Each side battled fiercely, but ultimately, neither could break the deadlock, resulting in a share of the points.
Umbi FC continued to assert their dominance in Group A, clinching a crucial 1-0 win over Gbaramatu FC. The victory propelled Umbi FC to the summit of the group standings, much to the delight of their supporters.
Group B Matches:
In Group B, Umbi FC extended their winning streak with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Gbaramatu FC. Despite a spirited performance from Gbaramatu, Umbi FC managed to secure the win and maintain their unbeaten run in the tournament.
Diebiri FC showcased their attacking prowess in a thrilling encounter against Odimodi FC, emerging victorious with a 2-1 scoreline. The match provided spectators with plenty of excitement and entertainment as Diebiri FC secured all three points.
