Chief Wellington Bobo

High Chief Wellington Bobo the Oroupawei of Gbaramatu Kingdom yesterday declared that the ultimatum given by the Gbaramatu Kingdom is long overdue and is very much in order.

Chief Wellington Bobo the Oroupawei of Gbaramatu Kingdom who spoke in Warri Delta State while addressing a group of selected journalists asserted that the best thing for President Muhammadu to do is to call on the relevant stakeholders to look in the demands and start the implementation without any further procrastination.

Chief Bobo in a firing voice averred during the media interactive session that the deliberate policy of abandonment of the Niger Delta particularly Gbaramatu Kingdom as it was done in the case of the ongoing Marrginal Fields offer is indeed a joke taken too far , adding that the Gbaramatu people are ready to take their destiny into their hands to defend their God given home land.

While stressing further the paramount need for the declaration High Chief Wellington Bobo Said: ” We have waited for too long without getting any positive answer from both the Government and the International Oil Companies Operating in Gbaramatu Kingdom. ” .

Speaking further he said : ” this declaration is a result of the Federal Government callous and mindless neglect of the Niger Delta region particularly the Gbaramatu Kingdom.

He stated that the Authorities concerned should not reckorn with that publication which is hired to make the demands look political but should look to the plight and cry of the Gbaramatu people , the Itsekiri Nation and the Niger Delta at large.

Chief Bobo strongly advised that for the sake of maintaining the prevailing peace and tranquillity for which the Gbaramatu Kingdom is known , it is proper for the relevant MDA’S to take immediate step now to stop the suffering of the Niger Delta people.

Chief Bobo remarking with emphasis said : ” what we are saying here is not political game , on a serious note we the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom want the FG to give us a listening ear”.

Giving specific example he said : ” the DryDock/Ship Yard removed from Okerenkoko to Lagos for no reason should be returned to allow the Maritime University Students do their practical practices in line with the aims and objectives of founding the institution, secondly, the skewed Marginal Fields bidding process must be readjusted to accommodate Niger Delta People particularly Gbaramatu sons and daughters,
the EPZ Gas Project at Ogidegben and the Gbaramatu Deep Sea Project are so fundamental that we cannot tolerate any gimmick about these projects.

Bobo, the poised and resolute pupilist Chief of Gbaramatu Kingdom in his assertions declared thus : ” it is now our turn to have the the post of Presidential Amnesty Coordinator PAC , because Gbaramatu is the home of Amnesty. Since the inception of the programme which originated from Gbaramatu we have not gotten that appointment

In his summation , Chief Bobo called on all Niger Deltans to give their total support to the demands of the Gbaramatu Kingdom.
