Warri, Delta State – The final farewell to the Puwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, High Chief (Dr.) Jonathan Gere Baksh Ari (JP), will take place on Friday, November 17, 2023, in his hometown of Kokodiagbene.
High Chief Jonathan Ari, who passed away at the age of 84, is remembered for his exceptional leadership and dedicated service to his community.
The Ari family of Kokodiagbene, represented by Rev. Joseph Ari and Mr. Anthony Ari for the children, has officially announced the funeral arrangements for the late High Chief Jonathan Ari:
TUESDAY, 14TH NOVEMBER, 2023 – 3:00 PM
A Service of Songs will be held at his residence No. 3 Ari Close Off Refinery Road, Effurun, Delta State. This service offers an opportunity for family, friends, and the community to pay their respects and pay homage to the late High Chief Jonathan Ari.
FRIDAY, 17TH NOVEMBER, 2023 – 7:00 AM
On this day, the solemn procession will commence as the late Chief’s body departs from Venell Clinic. The procession will journey to Miller Waterside in Warri before proceeding to Kokodiagbene Town, Gbaramatu Kingdom, where the final burial rites will be conducted. High Chief Jonathan Ari will be laid to rest in his hometown with a ceremony rich in tradition and profound respect.
SUNDAY, 26TH NOVEMBER, 2023 – 9:00 PM
A Thanksgiving service is scheduled at the Life Church of God Ministry in Warri, providing the family with an opportunity to come together, celebrate the life of High Chief Dr. Elder Jonathan Gere Baksh Ari (JP), and express their gratitude for his invaluable contributions.
The family statement serves as a heartfelt invitation to the public to participate in these significant ceremonies and commemorate the life of a remarkable individual.
