There is an urgent need for private businessmen and governments at all levels to develop the Gbaramatu and Ogulagha’s huge tourism potentials.
This gesture is for economic development in the two kingdoms that are in Burutu and Warri South West LGAs of Delta state, respectively.
For example, there is the Oburu-kiran, Olukperebu (Opposite Oporoza) and Ogulagha beach. If these are well invested in, they will no doubt be the best place for investors and governments at all levels to be proud they developed.
Gbaramatu and Ogulagha kingdoms have over 20 tourist centres that could alone turn around the fortunes of the kingdoms if harnessed.
The truth about these kingdoms is that besides oil, no other resources has been developed.
Tourism is a great money maker for the economy. In Dubai, the government invests its oil revenue in making the city the prime shopping tourism destination. Similar, in Hawaii the government consciously attracts tourist traffic by investing in the city’s tourism appeal. It’s profitable for the economy as the city charges extra tax on tourists at hotels and visiting centers like those mentioned above.
It is therefore time the bourgeoisies and authorities looked into Gbaramatu and Ogulagha kingdoms to develop their tourism industry.
