His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, the immediate past Governor of Delta State and Chieftain of the APC, paid a condolence visit to the family of his former Special Adviser and Federal Commissioner, Federal Character Commission (FCC), late Chief Emmanuel Etikense Ebimami in Warri on March 13, said in a statement by Monoyo Edon, Media Assistant to Uduaghan.
Dr. Uduaghan who described the death of the Bolowei of Egbema kingdom as a big blow to the people of Warri North and Delta State, took solace in the fact that Chief Ebimami left a peace building legacy which he would be remembered for many years to come.
“Chief Ebimami was one of the formidable members of the 3Is (Itsekiri, Ijaw Isoko) who ensured that DESOPADEC came to reality.
“He was a stabilizer, peace builder and leader. His sterling qualities was why we sent him to represent Delta State as a Federal Commissioner in the Federal Character Commission, Abuja.
“He taught us how to live together with our differences. We should endeavor to grab, cherish and build on his legacies especially in the area of peaceful coexistence.”
Dr. Uduaghan prayed for the repose of his soul and asked God to grant the family strength to cope thorough this period.
