In his quest to emerge the representative of the good people of Warri South West Local Government Area in the Delta State House of Assembly come 2019, Comrade Emomotimi Dennis Guwor continued with his local council-wide consultation with an assurance that democratic dividends shall be readily available for the good people of the local government if elected and with a promise to operate an open-door policy.
Mr. Guwor gave the assurance on Tuesday May 17, 2018 at the KFT Place, Warri to the executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Warri South West Local Government Council.
While speaking on his ambition to contest the House of Assembly seat in Warri South West, Emomotimi had beckoned on the Party’s leadership in the local government to support his candidature.
Speaking on his plans if elected, the Warri South West House of Assembly hopeful had promised to operate an open door policy, stressing that he will focus more on youths and women empowerment programmes.
According to him, special attention will be given to the efficiency of Primary and Secondary education in rural areas of the constituency.
However, he had also emphasized on the need to work together with elders of the local government to ensure maximum productivity.
Guwor also pinpointed that since 1999 till date, he had not known any other party other than the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, maintaining that he had over the years served the party and its leaders in different capacities.
He further stated that, his plans for transforming the local government may suffer setbacks without the support of the party leadership at the local government.
Responding, the party chairman, Hon. Johnbull Edema stated that the ambition and courage of Comrade Emomotimi Guwor, is quite commendable.
The party chairman, therefore, promised that the party will provide a level playing ground for all the aspirants and finally prayed God to grant him (Emomotimi) his desire while advising all to maintain decorum as they go about supporting our candidates.
