Members of Warri South West Political Front (WSWPF) have warned those aspiring to represent the constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly in 2019 to toe the path of peace “by ensuring that emotions are carefully guarded and managed in the entire campaign process and focus be given to issues and not resorting to blackmails, capable of heating up the polity.”
The group stated this in a statement which was signed by its chairman (Hon. Bethus Ayetan), secretary (Comrade Godswill Doubra Wuruyai) and vice-chairman (Comrade Paul Nene) while congratulating Emomotimi Dennis Guwor for collecting the Warri South West House of Assembly Expression of Interest and Nomination forms from the PDP State secretariat, Asaba, on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
“As a political movement with aim to ensure that the essence of the Not Too Youth to Run Bill precedes theory to manifest fully in practice, it brings hope and confidence to us seeing a youth coming out boldly to bear the burden of the entire youthful population of the Local Government Area.
“Guwor issue based campaign strategy is a worthy model to every well-meaning aspirant in the Local Government Area to emulate.
“This is because the tenet, teaching and preaching of this method suggest that there is more to do together as stakeholders of the PDP after the party’s primaries.
“Being confident by faith that you shall emerge the PDP flag bearer at the conclusion of the party’s primary, we appeal that you reach out to stakeholders that might be aggrieved as result of your already potent victory at the conclusion of the primaries to work together for the unity, progress and victory of the party against 2019.
“Against the above backdrop, we use this medium to appeal to all well meaning aspirants vying for the Delta State House of Assembly as it concerns Warri South West LGA to toe the Guwor’s path by ensuring that emotions are carefully guarded and managed in the entire campaign process and focus be given to issues and not resorting to blackmails, capable of heating up the polity.”
