Disregard the Caveat Emptor issued by acting Amaokosuwei, Kokodiagbene Elders tell Chevron, Others

•Pa. Thompson Seiwei lacks the power to speak for us – community

•The caveat emptor he issued should be disregarded – Elders

A call has gone to Chevron Nigeria Limited, the general public and all corporate organizations operating within Kokodiagbene community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state to disregard the caveat emptor issued by one Pa. Thompson Seiwei.

This was handed down in a letter signed by the elders and the leaders of thought, Kokodiagbene community, dated Wednesday 29th November 2017 and made available to GbaramatuVoice.

According to the elders and the leader of thought, the office of the Amaokosuwei does not exist in Warri but in Kokodiagbene community.

They added that even the said Pa. Thompson Seiwei is not the Amaokosuwei of Kokodiagbene community, hence lacks the power to issue such an order.

Giving details, the Elders Council explained that some misguided youths cajoled the acting Amaokosuwei to write the said letter to the corporate organizations without carrying out adequate consultation with the entire community.

In light of the above, the elders and opinion leaders categorically stated that such letter or letters are baseless, strictly against the norms of the community.

Continuing, the Kokodiagbene elders further explained that Pa. Thompson Seiwei is a deputy to the Amaokosuwei and does not have the capacity and authority to take such decision on his own, without due consultation of the entire elders in the community.

They, therefore, enjoined all persons or organizations with the intent to have dealings or any form of transactions with the community to deal directly with the Youth President, Superior Adurumokumor and Elder Abraham Amos Uttoh, who is the Chairman of the Elders Council in Warri pending the inauguration of the  new executive body billed for Monday December 4th, 2017.

Kokodiagbene elders finally warned all to ignore the purported letter as authored by Pa. Thompson Seiwei as it is lacking in merit and effect.

Signatories to the release as made available to GbaramatuVoice include;  Elder Amos Uttoh, Chairman, Elders Council; Engr. John Piniki, Leader of Thought; and Superior Adurumokumor, Youth President.

In the same vein, among the corporate organizations copied by the Kokodiagbene elders are; the Managing Director, Lee Engineering Construction Company Limited, Warri; the Chief Operating Officer, Asset Management Team (AMT), Warri; and the Chairman, Egbema-Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation (EGCDF) among others.
