Delta LG Election: Provision of quality education, my priority -Oyibo

OPOROZA It was a carnival of sort yesterday 14th September 2017 at Oporoza as Comrade Paul Kirifede Oyibo, declares his ambition to contest for the councillorship position in his Oporoza ward, Warri-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Comrade Paul, a grassroots politician and youth leader, made this declaration yesterday at Oporoza, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Speaking to the mammoth gathering in an occasion organized for his declaration and also provided an opportunity for the election of the National Vice President of the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC), he explained the auspicious nature of his representation.

He told the gathering that if elected he has three (3) projects in his political agenda for the people that he will vigorously pursue.

While shedding light to his planned programmes if elected, the grassroot politician told the people that reviving the near comatose educational sector in Oporoza is, and shall remain his top priority.

This according to him will be closely followed by youths and sports development in all the various communities that make up the ward that he will represent.

Comrade Oyibo added that the revival of the free medication that Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) used to administer to the community but for no reason will be the third in his agenda, promising to work closely with other stakeholders to make it see the light of day.

The great grassroots mobilizer while soliciting for the people’s votes, thanked them for their good conduct all through the event and finally advised that they should continue to behave in this manner.

In a related development, the Gbaramatu Youth Council, GYC, worldwide election to fill in the vacant vice president position was conducted at the same venue. At the end of the keenly contested exercise, Comr. Godwin Febaide aka Agbadu, emerged as the Vice President of the Gbaramatu Youth Council, GYC, with 56 votes while his opponent, Peter Pudie with 55 votes.
