—As he declares for Councillorship position in his ward
A renowned Niger Delta Activist, Comrade James Dekawei, has declared his interest to contest for the position of a Councillor in the forthcoming Local Government Council elections.
Dekawei, an indigene of Okerenkoko community in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State made this declaration today in a chat with GbaramatuVoice
In his words, “this dream has been kept alive by my burning desire to serve my people through the provision of qualitative representation.
The councillorship hopeful added that he hopes to achieve his ambition on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Speaking in the same fashion, the Okerenkoko born environmentalist further stated that he will be contesting for Okerenkoko ward in the forthcoming all important Local Government elections in the state.
“If my people should give me their mandate which I hope they will, I will in return provide them with unparalleled representation through effective participation in strategic decision making that will positively impact their lives”.
While reeling out his manifesto, the Niger Delta born activist stated that they will include but not limited to, good governance and accountability.
He, therefore, pleaded with his people for their support as he hopes to bring a new dawn to the ward by setting a new representative benchmark in the community through the rendering of selfless service that will take the electorates to the next level.
It is now barefaced that the much awaited Local Government election in the state is around the corner as the tenure of the incumbents comes to an end in October 2017. This development has, in turn, heighten the activities of the political gladiators in all the local in the state.
