…Work in one accord to succeed – Eris, Outgoing Chairman

…I’ll serve with the fear of God – Tonjoh, Incoming Chairman

The electoral committee of Benikrukru community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state, on Wednesday, October 12, October, 2022, at the community town hall, unveiled a new executive that will pilot the community affairs for the next three years.

The unveiling of the new executive was carried out by the Community Electoral Committee headed by Pastor Roland Ojogun.

GbaramatuVoice correspondents who were at the unveiling ceremony, gathered that the new executive which has Comrade Joel Tonjoh as chairman, has representatives elected from different quarters that made up the community.

They are to formally take over the mantle of leadership on Friday, November 25, 2022, from the Mr. Solomon Eris-led executive whose tenure as chairman of the community is expected to expire on that day.

Members of the newly unveiled executive includes: Tonjor Joel Amarede, chairman; Freedom Tonfawei, Vice chairman; Boyitie Paul Odiyrin, secretary; Jonah Juweigha, Assistant Secretary; Believed T. Ajolosemi, Treasurer; ThankGod Officer, PRO; Akada Julius, Financial Secretary; Bright Tortor, Assistant PRO; Pudie Peter, Organizing Secretary; Tombra Newyear, Welfare Officer, and Perebo Alaye, Chief Whip.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the outgoing chairman, Boan Solomon Eris, advised the incoming Executive to work in one accord. He therefore called on the electoral board Chairman, Pastor Roland Ojogun to pray for the New Executive as they embark on their new responsibilities.

On his part, the incoming chairman, Tonjoh Joel Amarede on behalf of his Executive members thanked everyone present and welcomed the responsibility assigned to his administration, which he promised to serve without having the mindset of self enrichment. He stressed that his government will rule with the fear of God, respect constituted authorities and will attract more developments to the community.

In his words, “indeed it’s a wonderful experience, well today is not a day of much speech but rather, it’s a day to say we accept the responsibility that has been given to us to serve. Being in a community position or being a community executive is to serve humanity and to attract development to your community.

“It’s not a place for self enrichment, not a place for self exhilaration but rather, it’s a place to develop community and to change the fortune of the living of your people.

“So on behalf of my executive council, I want to say, we accept this call to serve and we will do it with the fear of God and respect to constituted authority, both at the kingdom, at the community level, and with the respect for humanity, where we will attract more development. Thank you very much for giving us this responsibility to serve,” he stated.
