DELTA 2023: Omo-Agege governorship campaign train to storm Gbaramatu kingdom on Tuesday
In furtherance of his ward to ward visitation, the campaign train of the Delta state All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship standard bearer, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, will on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, storm Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of the state.
This was contained in a statement dated Sunday, December 18, 2022, by High Chief Michael Johnny, the APC leader in Gbaramatu kingdom and made available to GbaramtuVoice in Warri.
According to the statement, the Omo-Agege campaign train will first berth at Oporoza, the ancestral headquarters of Gbaramatu kingdom to pay homage to, and seek royal blessings from the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II.
The statement added that after the royal visit, Omo-Agege, who is currently Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, will, in company of his entourage, proceed to Okerenkoko, one of the major communities in the kingdom, for his political campaign.
While noting that Chief Omo-Agege is in great resolve to win the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state, Chief Johnny added that Gbaramatu as a kingdom has become not only strategic but a force that must not be overlooked in the political calculations of the state .
He therefore, used the opportunity to invite all well meaning sons and daughters of Gbaramatu kingdom to come out en masse to welcome and support the APC’s governorship candidate in the state as his emergence as governor of the state will attract a lot of development to the kingdom.
It would be recalled that a few weeks ago, the APC Presidential candidate, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu with his teaming entourage made of the Deputy Senate President and APC governorship candidate in Delta State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege; Governors Abdullahi Ganduje and Mai Mala Buni of Kano and Yobe states; Minister of State, Petroleum Resources Timipre Sylva, Minister of State, Labour, Festus Keyamo and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole, in a similar style, paid a historic visit to Gbaramtu kingdom, where he among other activities was conferred with a Chieftaincy title.
Others on the entourage included former governor-elect of Bayelsa State, David Lyon, former Minister of State, Niger Delta, Elder Orubebe, APC Chairman in Delta State, Elder Sobotie and a party chieftain in the state, Ayiri Emami.
