A TRIBUTE TO MY DEAR HUSBAND , RT. HON. GUWOR EMOMOTIMI DENNIS ON HIS CONVOCATION AS A LAWYER 30TH OF NOVEMBER, 2024

Koide Sir,
I congratulate you today, my dear husband Rt. Hon. Guwor Emomotimi Dennis on your convocation today and I am absolutely overjoyed that your dream of being a lawyer is finally a reality.
As far back as I could remember, since 2005 when I met you, you have had this burning desire that one day you would journey this path and actualize that
Dream of being a lawyer.
Today is that day.
I remember all the effort you put in into this dream, you applied severally to different schools for this purpose all to no avail, you tried Delsu severally but got denied the opportunity .
But you never for once gave up instead you would take up what you could in the time being.
After your graduation in 2005 and NYSC program, you reapplied to United Kingdom to do law, got admission to the university of Nottingham but was denied the UK visa, 3 good times you applied, 3 good times the visa was denied.
You did not allow this to deter you instead you applied to UNIBEN and got the Masters of Public Administration, after this you were still not satisfied, you applied yet again to Delsu law program, beat the cut off but was denied admission because of a school policy.
I remember encouraging you to try other options and you reluctantly applied to BIU where you were accepted into the law program and your journey to living your heart desire started.

I watched how you always made out time to attend classes,
How you meticulously did your assignments and listened to your classes ,attended tutorials, there were many nights you did not sleep trying to catch up, I admired you a lot,
Many would asked? What are you looking for?
But I knew you were willing to defer all the odds in the pursuit of your dear law degree.
I had planned this day differently but alas God only knows best.
Not deterred,
The day is finally here.
The day you bag your LLB,
I celebrate you my dear husband
Truly, it was delayed but you fought hard that it won’t be denied…

I encourage everyone that when you have a dream, Believe and don’t give up, fight for your dream and God willing you will get it…

Help me celebrate my husband, your brother and the Speaker of our beloved state in His convocation today as a lawyer
