[BREAKING] Prominent Rivers monarch passes on

The Oneh Eh Eta Onne, Paramount ruler of Onne Clan in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers state, HRH Emere J.D Osaronu, has joined his ancestors.

His death was announced by one of his daughters — Princess Dorathy Osaronu, on her Facebook wall.

She said her heart was broken in several places and lamented she may not recover from the loss. Over two thousand persons responded to the post.

The late king would have been 84 years in April this year. He was born in April, 1938.

He graduated from the University of Ife, now the Obafemi Awolowo University, in Law with a 2nd Class Upper, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1977 after passing his West African School Certificate Examination, W.A.S.C.E, in Division One, years earlier.

He won the election into the Rivers State House of Assembly where he was the Minority Leader, in 1979. 

He was selected and crowned the clan head of Onne on 13th February, 1999, a position he held till his death.
