Chief God’spower Gbenekama, the Ibe-benimowei of Gbaramatu kingdom has escaped being kidnapped along Ovie Palace Road Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State at about 7:30pm this evening but sadly his wife was kidnapped and taken to unknown destination by the unidentified gunmen.
Sources revealed that the ugly incident occurred when the chief had finished receiving the Hon. Minister for Petroleum State, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu from Osubi airport as he was driving home with his wife when the eerie kidnappers blocked them and wanting to kidnap him but could not succeed in kidnapping him as he was divinely rescued by God.
All efforts geared towards reaching the Chief has been proven abortive as he could not respond to calls nor text messages.
But a source said, the Ibebenemowei is safe but refuse to divulge further information about him due to security reasons as it was alleged that the kidnappers carted away with his car, phones and other things that are inside the vehicle.
