PROTEST BY WOMEN IN THE COMMUNITY, IS ONGOING
The Nigerian military operatives has invaded the Ikoro community, the traditional headquarters of the Olodiama Kingdom in Edo State.
A development GbaramatuVoice Newspaper gathered is aimed at disrupting the planned Coronation Of The New Pere of Olodiama Kingdom in Ovia North East Local Government Area, scheduled for today Tuesday,14th 2017.
Our correspondent gather that this has led to a spontaneous protest by the women of the community making the military to retreat and now moved to mount road blocks at the major road leading to the town thereby preventing movement in and out of the town.
Speaking to our correspondent , an indigene of Ikoro community narrated that they woke up this morning to meet with soldiers mounted at the strategic location in the town.
A development he said propelled the women in the community to come converge immediately and kick started a pprotest.
He therefore called on the military echelon to order the officers back to the barracks as the Kingdom is a peace loving community and can never indulge in any act that will be inimical to the state.
