The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, running under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has won all 27 Local Government Areas of the state during the ongoing governorship election.
The announcement was made at the state collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Owerri, where Uzodimma’s success in every LGA was officially declared.
As the final collation of results took place on Sunday morning, the state Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oye, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, called for an hour break to compute the final result and declare the official winner of the election.
