Arogbo-born Lawyer, Bekewei Ajuwa has been nominated as Chairman of the nine member IYC Electoral Committee to conduct the 2020 National Elections of the foremost Ijaw Youth Organisation, the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide.
The nomination of Bekewei Ajuwa, which was sequel to a peace accord reached by all critical stakeholders of the IYC to allow leaders of the IYC in the Western Zone nominate the Chairman of the Electoral Committee was confirmed by both Peretuobo Oweilaemi and Eric Omare.
The IYC will have a National Convention Friday, February 28, 2020 at Sagbama, Bayelsa State to ratify the Electoral Committee nominees to formally start the electoral process.
The Convention will kick off at 10am in the morning.
Ajuwa hails from Arogbo kingdom in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo state.
