The fears of Niger Deltans is gradually coming to pass as reports reaching our news desk alleged that the Nigerian Army that was undergoing training in Sapele have dispatched troops to the creeks.
A source who spoke to Gbaramatu Voice Newspaper few hours ago who pleaded anonymity maintained that the military promised not to invade any community but would go after illegal bunkers to combat oil theft in the region that have been a bane to the economy of the country.
The source also uses the medium to enjoin youths of the Niger Delta within the riverine communities to be vigilant.
However, contacts have not been established with the military as at the time of filing this report.
