Bayelsan author calls on Nigerians to join her to build thriving educational system

The Author of “Easy Guide To Better English,” Idimie George, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State has urged Nigerians to join her in building a thriving educational system in the country.

George who called for partnership from well-meaning individuals and organizations, stated this on Friday during her visit to three secondary schools in Bayelsa State where she distributed copies of her book.

She called on individuals and organizations to support her drive to get the books into the hands of students in Bayelsa State and beyond.

Ms. George expressed gratitude to Mr. Rowland Akpolo who sponsored the books to the schools, saying it will go a long way to help the students use the English language effectively adding that the book is designed to help people to avoid grammatical errors, and position them for advancement in their academics and careers.

Receiving the books on behalf of the schools were the principals who expressed their profound gratitude to the sponsor, Mr. Akpolo. He noted that the students will be better equipped to excel in the upcoming West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

They prayed for God’s blessings on him and the author for making the books available to them.

Easy Guide To Better English was officially launched on 1st April, 2022 and has received support from the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor, the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dr. Gentle E. Emelah among others.

The schools visited are: Bishop Dimieri Grammar School (BDGS), Ovom, Yenagoa; Sampou Grammar School, located in the hometown of Sen. Douye Diri, the governor of Bayelsa State; and Government Secondary School, Odi.
