The Bayelsa State governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, has announced the appointment of the immediate past acting Director General of the Department of State Services (DSD) Mr. Matthew Seiyefa, as the new pro-chancellor and chairman of governing council of the Niger Delta University, Amassoma in Southern Ijaw Local Government.
Mr. Seiyefa, who only recently retired from the DSS, will take over from Professor Steve Sinikiem Azaiki, who has since resigned his position to run for the Yenagoa/Kolokuma Opokuma federal constituency seat in the National Assembly under the PDP.
Governor Dickson, who also approved the appointment of Captain Olubunmi Jari Williams as the Managing Director of Bayelsa Airport Company Limited, through the announcement by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said both appointments take immediate effect.
