…Guwor will not disappoint us -Itsekiri youth leader
A major impediment standing between Mr. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Delta state and Delta State House of Assembly come 2019 appears to have finally been removed with his recent endorsement by the Progressive Itsekiri Youths.
This cheerful decision by the Progressive Itsekiri Youths to throw their weight behind Guwor was disclosed by the Group’s President, Mr. Yemi Stanley on Sunday 3rd June 2018 in Warri Delta state during the inauguration of the Warri South West Political Front.
A newly created political movement initiated by youths from Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State which held it’s official launching/inaugural ceremony on the above said date at the KFT place in Warri Delta State.
In his words; “The Warri South West Local Government Area is made up of two ethnic groups; the Itsekiri’s and the Ijaws and doubles as the host community to Chevron Nigeria limited but have suffered deprivations and as a result, we have decided to endorse you as a representative at the Delta state House of Assembly come 2019 because we know that you can give us quality representation and bring development to our land., he added.
“Today’s endorsement and presentation of this certificate to you is our little way of expressing how much we love you as time cannot permit us to state the positive impacts you have made in our lives.
The president further stressed that; We wishes to humbly advise you not to see our endorsement as the end of the road but as one measure to encourage you to strive harder in the commitment to strengthen the course of good governance in the region.
“The ‘greatness of the people depends on the leaders; it is now time for the Warri South West to be great again.
Mr. Emomotimi we believe and hope you are going to be with us as your name implies stay with us. Long live Mr Emomotimi Guwor, long live the Itsekiri youths, long live the good people of Warri kingdom, long live Delta State” he concluded.
