BARRISTER SMOOTH: Tears, tributes as Ijaw nation honors Ikesima, Ekeremieye, others (PHOTOS)
It was an evening of tears and tributes yesterday, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, as family members, sympathisers and icons in Ijaw music industry gathered in Warri for a service of songs and night of tribute in honor of late Niger Delta Highlife Queen, Miss Ikesima Brown; Chief Joseph Ekeremieye aka Egberigboloemi; Tuku Eniebi; Mariam Amadi and Appah Appah of the Barrister Smooth music band, who lost their lives to a fatal road accident along the Abuja-Lokoja Highway on Sunday, June 11.
Barrister Smooth is a Nigerian Ijaw high life singer who is well known in the Niger delta region of Nigeria.
The Service of Songs and Night of Tributes, held at Tunde Playground along NPA Expressway, Warri, Delta state, was attended by a large number of people including family members, friends, associates and music icons.
GbaramatuVoice spotted the likes of Chief (Mrs.) Biboere Manager, Chief Tunde Smooth, Bolowei of Niger Delta, King Pere-ama Freetown, Alfred Izon-ebi aka Jking, and a host of other great personalities from accross Niger Delta at the occasion.
As each artiste took turn to pay tributes to the late Ijaw music icons, tears flowed endlessly especially when they recollected their last encounters with them.
