Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege has accused Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of destroying the State.
Okowa, he said, has stunted growth in other parts of the State with the lopsided development of his hometown, Owa- Alero in Ika North East LGA.
He said Okowa and the PDP have done damage to the State, urging Deltans to vote PDP out of power in 2023.
He spoke on Friday at Ovwor-Olomu, Ughelli South LGA while receiving PDP defectors in Olomu Wards 1 and 2, Gbaregolor, Ewu, Orere, Arhavwarhrien, Erhruvwaren, Olota, Okparabe, Asa, Otu-Jeremi and Effurun-Otor to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Flanked by the member representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency, Francis Waive; APC Delta chairman-elect, Omeni Sobotie; Delta Central APC Chairman, Adelabu Bodjor; Paulinus Akpeki and other party chieftains, Omo-Agege said Okowa and the PDP had failed in his bid to rescue Delta and so cannot rescue Nigeria.
His words: “I saw the Governor of Delta State on television saying he wants to rescue Nigeria. Someone who has not been able to rescue Delta State saying he wants to rescue Nigeria. We don’t want him to go and pollute Nigeria.
“He has already done enough damage to Delta State. PDP has done enough damage to Delta State. We need you to help chase them away from Delta State governance and we know that with you, we can do it.”
Omo-Agege urged the defectors to go to their communities to canvass for votes.
