High Chief Richard Ukori, father of Amb. Jude Ebitimi Ukori, the immediate past chairman of Egbema-Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation (EGCDF), has passed on.
Ukori, the Amaokosuwei of Jamagie community in Edo State, died in Sapele in the early hours of Monday, September 27, 2021 at the age of 98.
His passage was announced to GbaramatuVoice via a statement signed by his son, Comrade Jude Ukori on behalf of the family.
“With total submission to the will of the Almighty God, the Ukori family of Jamagie community, Egbema Kingdom of Edo State hereby announce the passing of their patriarch and statesman, the Amaokosuwei of Jamagie community, Chief Richard Ukori aka Ajajaka-aja at the age of 98 in Sapele after a brief illness. He was born in 1923.”
According to the statement, until his death he was a devoted christian, a community leader, defender of justice, and an exemplary man who believed in the cause of a common man.
The statement noted that burial arrangement will be announced on a later date.
