The Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Yaya Ngulde, on Tuesday received the CEO/MD of GbaramatuVoice, Mr. Jacob Abai, during a strategic visit to the school’s headquarters at the Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri, Abuja.

Also present was the Deputy Commandant, Major Ojo Ifedayo Adenegan, who joined in welcoming the GbaramatuVoice CEO and participating in key discussions that followed the facility tour.

As part of the engagement, Mr. Abai was taken on an insightful tour of NASPRI’s cutting-edge training infrastructure and media operations center. From digital classrooms to broadcast suites, the tour provided a firsthand look at how the Nigerian Army is empowering its personnel with advanced skills in strategic communication, crisis response, and public relations—in line with global best practices.

The meeting opened up in-depth discussions on a possible media-security partnership between NASPRI and GbaramatuVoice, the Niger Delta’s foremost media powerhouse. Deliberations focused on potential areas of collaboration, including media training, information management, content development, and community-focused public engagement strategies.

In a moment of honour and recognition, Lt. Col. Ngulde presented a commemorative plaque to Mr. Abai, acknowledging GbaramatuVoice’s impact and rising voice across Nigeria’s media landscape. The moment highlighted the growing acknowledgment of independent media platforms in fostering national unity and informed public discourse.

This strategic engagement comes ahead of the GbaramatuVoice 10th Year Anniversary celebration, scheduled to take place on August 28 at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. The event is expected to attract prominent voices from government, the military, the media industry, and civil society, as GbaramatuVoice celebrates a decade of impactful storytelling and regional transformation.

Mr. Abai, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the NASPRI leadership for the warm reception and emphasized GbaramatuVoice’s commitment to bridging gaps between institutions and the people through powerful narratives, inclusive dialogue, and strategic collaborations.

The visit marks yet another milestone in GbaramatuVoice’s drive to deepen its national footprint and position itself as a media force committed to truth, development, and partnership.
