2023 Warri Federal Ticket Tussle: Ignore APC, follow rule of law, Yabrade tells INEC
Comrade Yabrade Moses, a frontline aspirant of the APC in Warri Federal Constituency has called on the Independent National Electoral Council (INEC) to ignore the name of his opponent, Ekpoto Ekpoto Emmanuel, being purported as the Warri Federal House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), as there is an existing motion for stay of execution before a court of competent jurisdiction.
Yabrade made this remark via a recent statement personally signed by him and made available to GbaramatuVoice in Warri, Delta state.
While calling on INEC, to follow the rule of law in accordance with Motion of Appeal for Stay of Execution filed in the Court on the 29th of November 2022 and subsequently served them (INEC) and all party involved, Yabrade insisted that he will not be coerced by APC.
He berated APC for attempting to deceive the electoral umpire.
He argued that instead of resorting to self help, both INEC and APC must wait for the outcome of the suit pending before the Appeal Court.
“You cannot accept a candidate at this material time as the case is still in court. The lower court has declared the process faulty, so, INEC should not allow them to be misled by APC into another faulty expenditure’. He said.
Moses, therefore, urged his supporters to be hopeful and continue with the campaign train and individual consultation efforts to ensure victory for the party at all levels.
