…Okowa has empowered over 10, 000 Youths – Aruwei, SA to Okowa

It was a political tsunami in the Delta south senatorial districts as youths in riverine communities including members of the opposition All ProgressiveS Congress (APC) in their thousands converged in Kunukunuma community, Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State and officially endorsed Okowa/Otuaro for second term.
The auspicious event was held on Saturday 2nd June, 2018 to mark the official flag-of a political pressure group, Delta Youths Endorsement For Okowa 2019.
Led by its convener, Hon. Eniye Charles Aruwei, who doubles as the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Youth Development, the gathering which was meant to mark the flag-off campaign for the duo’s return to the government house come 2019 also witnessed the members of the opposition APC dump their party for PDP.
Speaking at the event, Mr Abraham Nafami, who led the former APC members to their new found love, stated that their decision was informed by the superlative performance of the Governor Okowa led administration in empowering the youths and the development of the riverine communities in particular and the entire state in general.
In his words; “We, (about 300 of us) with others still expected to join, have decided to dump our former party, the APC and unit with the action- governor, because he demonstrated the political will to empower youths and development in the region.
“Today, we all pledge our support to the PDP and we wish to work with the PDP in 2019 to ensure that Okowa gets a second term,” he added.
On his part, Hon. Aruwei, the convener of the event while receiving the former APC members on behalf of the governor, the state party chairman encouraged all to be law-abiding and work hard to ensure that their amiable governor and his deputy secures a second term in office.
He further told our correspondent that the Okowa/Otuaro administration has empowered over 10,000 youths across the 25 local governments of the state and as result, should be encouraged to continue.
The Vice President of Gbaramatu Youth Council, Alaowei Godwin Febaide on his part rated the Okowa/Otuaro administration as excellent going by the level of attention given to the riverine communities, while Evangelist M.J. Azapere urged the people, especially Christians, to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) in order to vote credible leaders come 2019.
In attendance at the endorsement ceremony were Hon. Emiko Etuwewe, Standing Committee on Oil and Gas, Warri South West; Engr. Clark Ogegbene, representing Gbaramatu Former Chairmen Forum; Elder Philip Tortor, Chairman, Elders Forum and Comr. Godwin Febaide, Vice President, Gbaramatu Youth Council.
Others were Chief Clement Aruwei, Capt. Denkeden Friday, Apostle Mattias Amaye Zion, Prophet Samuel Brobor, Evangelist M.J. Azapere, Pastor Daniel Fullpower, Apostle Monday Aboh, Mr Edwin Aruwei, Mr Frederick Braye, Mr Otutufegha Lucky and a host of other dignitaries.
