An Ijaw community leader in Delta State, Comrade Mulade Sheriff has joined his voice with others to welcome Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to Burutu Local Government Council, calls on Deltans to come out en-mass to receive the dynamic Governor to Ijaw land of Burutu.
Comrade Mulade Sheriff made who made the call in Warri yesterday said “We have no other alternative to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Barr. Kingsley Otuaro. We will give them maximum support for continuity in the Government House till 2023 when an Ijaw man would take over as the next governor of our great state”.
Speaking further, he appealed to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to give special attention to oil and gas producing communities in riverine areas and ensure all inclusive development of coastal communities as the hope and source of revenue for the State.
“It is imperative to state and appeals to the Delta State Government led by Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to allocate special percentage of about 30 from state budget to develop oil and gas producing riverine communities in the state”.
