It was a day filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt tributes as Hon. Gloria Oborevwori, Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and younger sister of Delta State’s Executive Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, threw a magnificent celebration in honour of her beloved mother, Mrs. Grace Okpoudhu, marking her 62nd birthday.
The elegant event took place at the prestigious Noble International Hotel in Oleh, drawing the presence of family members, friends, and well-wishers from far and near.
Dressed in regal attire and radiating joy, Hon. Gloria took time during the celebration to express her deep gratitude and admiration for the woman she calls her first teacher, mentor, and prayer warrior.
“My mother is the reason I am who I am today. Her sacrifices, prayers, and unshakable belief in me have been my strength through every season. She taught me dignity, kindness, and resilience. Today is about honouring her and letting her know how deeply she is loved,” Gloria said, holding back tears.
The atmosphere was filled with joy as guests were treated to good music, delicious cuisine, and heartfelt speeches. The celebrant, Mrs. Okpoudhu, visibly moved by the love surrounding her, thanked everyone for coming, especially her daughter, for organizing such a beautiful celebration.
The event was not just a birthday party — it was a celebration of a life well lived, of motherhood, legacy, and the bond between a mother and her daughter.
